On a recent Carnival cruise, myself and my family all boarded the Carnival Magic for a 6-day vacation to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. Some of the best sunsets I've seen have been out in the middle of the ocean, with just sky above and a never-ending expanse of sea below. So naturally, knowing I was bringing my camera anyway I reached out on social media to see if any of my cruise companions (all 3,000 of them) would be interested in doing a photoshoot. And Jake and Asia took me up on it! Both living in Pennsylvania, they're engaged to be married October 2024. Typically, most couples take their engagement photos with the photographer who also captures their wedding, since it's a good way to get to know the photographer. BUT, given their long engagement, why not celebrate with a few photos at sea! I'd first seen how in love Jake and Asia were on our snorkeling excursion where we all happened to be on the same boat out to the reef site, and that same starry-eyed romance definitely came through in these photos. Initially, I had scouted out two or three different locations on the ship to do the shoot, but once the sun set every minute just produced a more stunning backdrop, so we stayed in that one quiet spot overlooking the ocean as the yellows and pinks faded to purples and blues. Thank you Jake and Asia for trusting me to take your engagement photos! And to Audra for connecting us. Wishing you all the love in your coming marriage and future! Here's what Jake said about these photos, "The photos look amazing, and they are perfect! We can not thank you enough. These are amazing and gorgeous!" *^*^*^*Click each photo to see it uncropped*^*^*^**
